Fabric Kain Tenun Fabric Kain Patola Fabric Kain Basta/Koka This "Basta" called drapery has its origin in India and was used as means of payment in the past. The Portuguese brought these draperies to the Moluccas in the 15th century. They used them as gift for the rulers of the Maluku islands and in particular as means of exchange for cloves and nutmeg.
