The dish is embossed with abundant, luxuriant vegetal decoration of extremely oriental appearance. The entire surface of each lobe is covered with sprigs of foliage, in each case bearing three large flowers executed in great detail. At the junctions of the lobes, oriental masks are inserted. Calyx-shaped floral garlands are suspended from each mask and it is crowned with a sort of palmette or shell motif. Under each lobe is a cherub, embossed in high relief. The centre is adorned with a continuous series of embossed spiralling tendrils enclosing a large, rosette-shaped flower.
