It was hoped to show a high-resolution photograph of the original painting as sufficient to convey the artist’s approach to representing his subject. The artist’s son, Pierre le Brocquy: ‘Although he has no objections to the use of reproductions in exhibitions [… my father … ] feels reproductions/projections can complement an exhibition offering interesting points of focus so long as the original works are present to be experienced.’ It was, however, kindly agreed that a poster could be shown instead (published by Principle Management, via Taylor Galleries, Dublin).   Postcards of the original are also available at the National Gallery of Ireland.
