The Museum of Natural Dye Arts was established to discover the origin of our traditional colors by collecting and preserving objects related to textiles, dye arts, and folk cultures. Heading one step further, the museum seeks to inspire the pride of the country and regional society by transmitting and developing Korea's natural dye arts. Also, the museum is investing efforts to furnish an arena of creative work, exhibition, education, experience, and research via knowledge and information exchange activities in the fields of culture, art, and crafts industry. The exhibition hall displays objects related to natural dye arts, and the special exhibition hall organizes a variety of planned exhibitions and exchange exhibitions. In the folk dye materials and tools room, tools related to the manufacturing processes in natural dye arts are on exhibit, and in the work craft room, textile works such as textile varieties, world folk varieties, etc. are displayed.
