Masterpiece

A small jar in the shape of a standing elephant with incised, applied and impressed decoration depicted in high relief on the back. It has a horizontal ellipsoid shape supported on four short legs, a restricted opening, flared neck, with a small mouth and evenly thickened lip. It was used to store liquids. This pot has two-coloured glazes in green and brown. It is of high-fired clay, that is fine and of sepia buff colour. With an unglazed interior; the pot was modelled using the coiling technique.
