White Porcelain Vase with a Floral Motif
Hanyang4108

Why this is a
Masterpiece

This cannot be a masterpiece if you consider the market value and sophistication of designs. However, the bold geometric iron-glazed design gives us a strong impression of extreme abstractionism that cannot be seen on paintings of that age.

History of the Object
This white porcelain vase has a narrow neck with an upright lip that is connected to the round-plump body of the vase. Floral patterns are painted in ironized pigment under the glaze.
