It is a unique stone sculpture and characteristic of the late Bagan Period.

History of the Object
This is a sculpture of Bodhisattva Metteyya in a standing posture, decorated with ornaments. Its right hand is at its side and the left hand is placed on the breast. This posture is called Abhaya Mudra. The hand posture of this Bodhisatta Metteyya will protect against dangers.
