Our edition was lovingly decorated with detailed, full-page or smaller miniature paintings. They show influences of Indian painting styles of Jaipur and Kangra, but put the story in front of a Nepalese background.

History of the Object: The Bhagavata Purana is one of the most popular books of Hinduism. The tenth book tells the story of the God Krishna.
