Why this is a
Masterpiece

"Young girls in the garden" together with other works by this artist paved a new way and laid the foundation for the development of the traditional lacquer paintings. It demonstrated the great expressive strength of a traditional medium that was used mainly for decoration. Nguyễn Gia Trí was the most successful artist who applied the domestic paint into plastic art, and used it naturally like a common medium of painting.

History of the Object
Before 1975, the painting was displayed in the reception hall of the Head of the State Bao Dai (the last King of Nguyen Dynasty) in Da Lat City.
