Why this is a
Masterpiece

This calligraphy is a work of the first president of Korea, Seungman Rhee who is well known for his calligraphy and poems. The four big characters mean "practice of love", which is the profound objective of education of Hanyang University created by the founder of the Hanyang University, Dr. Kim, Yonjoon. It is valuable and historical enough to be a masterpiece of the university museum.

History of the Object
Reeh, Seungman was a politician who lead the independence movement from Japanese occupancy. After the independence in 1945, he was elected the first president of Korea, then consecutively 2nd and 3rd.
