It is among the finest jewelry of the Pyu period.

History of the Object
These beads were popular in the Pyu period. Pyu refers to a collection of city-states and their language is found in the central and northern regions of modern-day Myanmar. Much of its history is known from the remnants of their civilization found in stone inscriptions. .
