Masterpiece

It is a rare golden Buddha image from the Bagan Period.

History of the Object
The gold Buddha image was discovered in the debris of temple No. 1515 while it was under excavation for conservation. After cleaning and conservation, it was displayed in the museum. In this figure, the hand posture is touching the earth. It is hollow and the inside of the image was filled with sealing wax.
