Why this is a
Masterpiece

Chosen and explained by Toshihiro NOBUTA "Present from a Villager". This replica blowgun is my ‘treasure’. When I left the village on finishing my field research after two and a half years, a villager presented it to me at the farewell party. He thoughtfully realized that I could not take a (long) blowgun on the airplane, and so made me a special one. I unexpectedly burst into tears exchanging farewells with the villagers, who gave me a lot of presents. I miss the tough but happy days whenever I see the blowgun.

History of the Object
This is a specially made "blowgun" by a Malaysian villager.
