This is a very rare and ancient traditional jewel worn by Yao women in North Vietnam.

History of the Object
This jewel was collected by Captain Henri Péri in March 1933 and given to the Musée de l'Homme. The largest part of Asian collections of the musée du quai Branly comes from the Musée de l'Homme. Since 1997, new acquisitions were made by the musée du quai Branly.
