Why this is a
Masterpiece

This is a silk bojagi quilted with rectangular pieces of cloth on which Chinese characters are embroidered. Good auspicious characters such as wealth, honor, and long life, are embroidered on the entire bojagi.

History of the Object
This is a bojagi which the director Kim Jihee, the daughter in law of Lee Seongnyeo, has received and preserved. Lee Seongnyeo was from the Lee family of Byeokjin. She married into the Son family of Milyang, and embroidered this bojagi to bring it with her.

Acquisition
The Son Hyeon family has kept the Son Tae-gi family's heritage materials in trust. The Son family is one of the Milyang Son Clans from Chang-nyeong, Gyeongsang-namdo Province, Korea.
