History of the Object
Chongokni site is one of the most important archaeological finds in Korea, which represents the stone industry of the Lower Paleolithic Age of Korea. The hand axe of this period is characterized by its multi-purposed function. This hand axe is made of river pebble, having a many-sided bulky body to make a cutting edge.
