Why this is a
Masterpiece

The rich white colour and the blue glaze produce a bright and attracting effect by contrasting pleasantly with each other.

History of the Object
The ceramic matrix was relatively thick. In the centre of the base are two white concentric circles. The outer one was wider than the inner one inside which there is an inscription reading "made in Xuande Period in Ming Dynasty" in regular script, which has the same calligraphical style found in other inscriptions written in Xuande Period. The inside wall is painted with the floral and fruity patterns while the exterior is decorated with lotus flower pattern in a circle.
