A rare example in the collection of ethnic culture painting.

History of the Object
This painting shows a scenery of a padi field in a Kedayan village. Kedayan is one of the seven ethnic groups in Brunei. The painting shows two different sizes of huts with bamboo flooring and palm leaves walls. One is used as a place for farmers to rest, while the other is used to place a telinting to scare-off sparrows trying to eat the padi.
