Why this is a
Masterpiece

Shin youn bok (1758~?) is a very famous artist in Korea so this picture is important. The coloring is just clear and splendid.

History of the Object
Hang-Yoe-Do is drawn by Hae-won Shin Yun Bok (1758~?) and shows people meeting on the street. Shin Yun Bok is a representative painter from the later Choson period and is one of three great painters from that period. He usually drew in a secular style so he was expelled from the drawing house. The specialty of his painting is a polished and romantic style expressing the interaction between man and woman. This painting is about a moment when a man meets a woman on the street. It shows the dress and ornaments of that age.
