History of the Object
This unique artwork was made using the Mongolian technique of wooden puzzles that uses intricate wooden joins instead of nails. It depicts one of the Buddhist paradises, that of the future Buddha Maitreya. It shows a place of teaching featuring palaces, flying gods, beautiful flowers and a clear lake.
