Why this is a
Masterpiece

This mirror is quite different from the traditional circular bronze mirrors. This piece is octagonal and looks like a flower. It is decorated with elaborate designs on the back, which offers evidence for the strong aesthetic sense and taste the people enjoyed in the Tang Dynasty. Its exquisite craft and fine decorations make it a great masterpiece among Tang mirrors.
