Why this is a
Masterpiece

The tray is valuable because it is a good example of the Champa culture, especially of the “Dong Duong” style.

History of the Object
The tray is round and it has 16 edges where it is decorated with an embossed flower motif. The words on the tray read: “This is the property of King Bhadravarman”. The tray was used to contain the offerings to the God Shiva, and it could only be carried by a high ranking person, a Ksatriya.
