Why this is a
Masterpiece

It is unique craft-work of good quality.

History of the Object
This is a model of four musicians using four different musical instruments: morinkhuur (horse headed fiddle); Shanz (string instrument); Yochin (flat-lying string instrument which is played by using sticks) and Limbe (flute). It represents a Mongolian traditional quartet which was often performed at theatre shows. The quartet often travelled with a theatre group to remote places when a whole orchestra was not able to accompany the group.
