Why this is a
Masterpiece

A large, bulbous-bodied top with an elongated upper portion and the body inlaid with mother-of-pearl. This is used by adult males to test their skill and strength during gatherings and special occasions. The top itself is a work of art, It is manually carved by skillfull hands and carefully inlaid with mother-of-pearl, forming patterns as the top twirls.

History of the Object
The object was collected by Deba Sultan, an antique vendor, on February 5, 1969 and purchased by the National Museum. It is now in storage at the Anthropology Division, Museum of the Filipino People.
