A work of the National Hero Jose Rizal that may be read allegorically as a story of the colonial condition in which a dog's mother tries to save her offspring from a crocodile.

History of the Object
The sculpture was made by Dr. Rizal while he was in exile in Dapitan. The object is on display at the Museum of the Filipino People.
