Masterpiece

Turkmen jewelery with its geometrical shapes, decorated with cornelians, is considered the most beautiful jewels of Central Asia. Many heavy ornaments were used by women in their braids. Among others, were the heart-shaped, 20 cm high asyk worn on a woman's back.

History of the Object
Acquired in 1979. Probably purchased by the seller on the place of origin.
