Why this is a
Masterpiece

The grave is located below the ridge of Mt. Seodok of Soha2-dong and is facing southward. The grave lies together with the grave of his wife from the Jeong family of Yeongil. There is a gravestone, a stone table, and a stone for incense burning in front of the burial mound as well as a stone lantern, called Jangmyeongdeung, made of granite stone in front of the stone table. Also, there is a pair of stone posts and stone statutes to the left and right. The writing on the memorial monument was written by Changseok, Yi Jun (1560~1635), who was close with Yi Wonik. When looking at the epitaph, it says that Yi Wonik personally asked Yi Jun to write the epitaph on his own gravestone. Thus, it can be known that the two were very close. Also, Misoo, Heo Mok (1595~1682), who was the husband of Yi Wonik's granddaughter and who was known as the best literary scholar at the time, wrote part of the text. It is composed of a total of four pages and contains details which speak highly of the achievement and contribution of Yi Wonik.
