History of the Object
Ladies in the Pyu period used to wear golden bangles on their arms with a design of the mythical bird Pyinsarupa. Pyinsarupa is a bird, but composed of five other animals: it has the trunk of an elephant, an antler, a fish tail, the manes of a lion and the hoofs of a horse.
