Masterpiece

Our Museum houses 966 pieces and this collection is the largest of its kind in the world. They are important artifacts for the study of Nestorian Christianity in China.

History of the Object
It is the former collection of Mr. F.A. Nixon, who was Postal Director of Ji'nan, Shandong Province, stationing in Beijing. Mr Nixon left China in 1949 with this collection. Many pieces are cruciform, hence they are named Nestorian crosses.
