Why this is a
Masterpiece

The two artists were the last court painters of the Chosun dynasty (1392~1910). It was very rare for the artists to work jointly on one big painting of immortals, which was the special field of Cho, Seokjin. It is a real masterpiece of immortals crossing the ocean. Paintings of immortals were common in the late period of the Chosun dynasty, however, this is one of the most wonderfully developed masterpieces in the last stage of the Chosun dynasty.

History of the Object
Cho, Sok-Jin and Ahn, Jung-sik worked on the painting together, then presented to Sir. Wooncho in 1912. Both painters studied under a renowned painter, Jang, Seungup (1843~1897).
