Why this is a
Masterpiece

The external of the ceramic is beautiful and colorful. The drawing matches a cloud and a crane. A flying crane surrounded by several clouds was expressed exquisitely. This means peace and long life for the family.

History of the Object
This type of ceramic began to be made at the middle of the Joseon period. After 18C, it was mass produced. Chung Hwabeak Ja is a white porcelain which started to be made after being introduced from China in the early Joseon dynasty. It has a special characteristic of Joseon pottery. In the 18th Century, this white porcelain spread widely among the common people because it was mass produced. This short-neck ceramic jar has a round shape like a full moon. When baked in an oven, the body inclines to one side.
