Masterpiece

It is rare and very skillful stone carving.

History of the Object
The stone was discovered inside a ruined Buddha image upstairs at the That-byinnyu temple at the south-east corner of Bagan old city. There is a seated Buddha in the centre of the small stone slab. This image is surrounded by the episodes of The Seven Weeks and The Seven Places after the Enlightenment of the Buddha and the whole is surrounded by The Eight Principle Scenes of the Buddha.
