Why this is a
Masterpiece

Water pumps are widely used not only in Korea but all across the world including China, and Japan. Korean farmers used water pumps that required pedaling, which is unique compared to other countries.

History of the Object
Water pumps draw water from a lower water region to a higher region. Securing water is very important for rice farming in Korea and in this regard, water pumps were one of the key agricultural implements. Water is pulled up as you turn the wheel holding onto the body of the pump. It was mainly used for rice paddies of plains or salterns.
