Masterpiece

In the large collection of Buddhist bronze sculptures from the Mongolia and Himalayan region, this is one of the best and most beautiful examples of complex iconography and high artistic value. The sculpture is still closed, containing sutra scrolls and bags with herbs which consecrate the image.

History of the Object
Used as a cult image. Details of history unknown. Prajnaparamita is a female deity personifying the perfect wisdom, the most important feature of Bodhisattva, “mother of virtues”.
