Why this is a
Masterpiece

They are mostly "thank you" and greeting letters. Besides the fact that this album is important in grasping the chronicle of his later years, it also highlights the essence of Chusa's calligraphy.

History of the Object
Kim Jeong-hee(1786-1856) was a calligrapher and scholar and a representitive of the Joseon period. He left numerous works. This is a collection book of letters he wrote from August 21, 1849, when he was 64, through to 1856, when he died at 71. Park Jeong-jin, a student of Kim Jeong-hee kept 14 letters that Kim Jeong-hee sent to him. He bound them together into an album in 1857 after his teacher died.
