Why this is a
Masterpiece

The only piece of this kind in Brunei Museum's collection. This earthenware Kendi is globular shaped with a short cylindrical neck with a flange and a mammiform spout. The surface is plain and smooth with a dark brown unglazed body.

History of the Object
Discovered in 1997, during an offshore excavation in the Brunei waters.
