This weaving sley with fine decorations is one of the most ancient in the collections of musée du quai Branly.

History of the Object
Collected in 1933 for the Musée de l'Homme, this sley was 50 years old. It was too old to be used anymore. The largest part of the Asian collection of the musée du quai Branly comes from the Musée de l'Homme. Since 1997, new acquisitions were made by the musée du quai Branly.
