Why this is a
Masterpiece

The screen is decorated with painting in Kano style. The painting depicts 26 stops on Tōkaidō road, one of very few examples of Kanō style paintings in the Náprstek Museum's Japanese Collection and in Czech collections.

History of the Object
Originally Hloucha´s collection, acquired in 1955. According to the original Hloucha´s record, it was bought in Kyōto in 1926.
