An important historical coin.

History of the Object
During the reign of King Mindon, peacock silver coins were produced by the Royal Mint. The obverse holds “the royal seal” in letters and in relief a peacock and on the reverse is “Yadanabon Naypyitaw” in letters, as well as the year of minting and the value of the coin. The peacock on the silver coin symbolizes national pride, glory and auspiciousness.
