Why this is a
Masterpiece

This is a unique map which shows the administrative place named Dai Nam (now Vietnam) in the dragon shape, a symbol of power.

History of the Object
All notes (Han characters) were written in the dragon shape showing the administrative place named Dai Nam country (now Vietnam) from the North to the South. With that symbol (country map in dragon shape), it reflected the all-round development of Dai Nam under the Nguyen Dynasty (19th early 20th century). Moreover, it also shows Emperor Minh Mang's great vision to develop the county.
