Why this is a
Masterpiece

An excellent example of paper thin jade carving by Mughal artisans.

History of the Object
About eight pieces of the same type are in the collection of the National Museum Taipei, China. However, all of them have Chinese characters carved on them. Probably they are the Chinese pieces produced by the Mughal artist for the Chinese market.
