Masterpiece

The vessel stands out for its elegance and unsurpassed style. According to opinions of archaeologists, this exhibit is clear evidence of early cultural relations between the tribes of ancient Azerbaijan and Mesopotamiain 6-5th millenniums B.C.

History of the Object
There were tribes in the region between the Two Rivers which championed the Khalaf culture in the 6-5th millenniums B.C. Note that Tel-Khalaf is a settlement in Northern Syria, on the border with Turkey.
