Why this is a
Masterpiece

This lacquered wood door is a unique example of the culture and art of the Indochinese peninsular. Actually it has small images of erotic religious scenes, sculpted on the posts; this comes from an Indian influence. In India these decorations are common, but they are very rare in Southeast Asia. Nevertheless the piece is typical Lao in style.
