Q: How can my museum participate in the Virtual Collection of Masterpieces?

A: Your museum should have a collection of artefacts of Asian origin. It should be situated in a country of the European Union, ASEAN or in Japan, Korea, China, India, Pakistan or Mongolia. The museum should select 25 Masterpieces and indicate why the object is a masterpiece. For more detailed requirements, send a message through the Contact page.

Q: What are the costs of participation?

A: Participation is free. However, the museum needs to provide texts and images in English and in the official local language. How much time this will cost depends for instance on whether texts in English or local language and digital images are already available.

Q: The website doesn't look good on my monitor: big patches of white! What can I do?

A: You can adjust the display by switching to full screen mode; on most systems this will be Function Key 11, on the top row of your keyboard. After your session you can switch back to normal mode by pressing the same function key again. This is a temporary technical problem: the site is not displayed properly on monitors in default settings with a resolution of 1024 * 768 pixels or less.
